Lancashire dayLancashire Day allows us the opportunity to declare that we are proud to be Lancastrians. The Lancashire Day proclamation was read out by town criers throughout the county on Monday 27 November 2017.

Lancashire Day commemorates the day in 1295 when Lancashire sent its first representatives to Parliament by King Edward I of England to attend what later became known as The Model Parliament.

On this day in 1295 the first elected representatives from Lancashire were called to Westminster by King Edward I to attend what later became known as "The Model Parliament".
