There’s lots of exciting events happening in Lancashire this weekend, from the Commonwealth Baton Relay, Dinosaur festivals to music festivals there’s certainly something for everybody to enjoy.

Commonwealth Baton Relay

The Birmingham 2022 Queen’s Baton Relay will visit Lancashire during its final journey through England this weekend. Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022 is hosting the 16th official Queen’s Baton Relay - a journey which brings together and celebrates communities across the commonwealth during the build up to the games. The baton will visit Blackpool, Preston, Blackburn, Darwen and Bolton this weekend as well as Carlisle and the Lake District.

Members of the public are encouraged to get involved with the celebrations and embrace the arrival of the Baton.

Great Eccleston Show 2022

There is something for everyone at the biggest 2-day show in the North-West.

Some of the best livestock in the country will be in the main ring, along with horses, sheep, pigs, goats and rare breeds.

The tractor pull will take place on both days and the show field will be packed with stalls, produce marquee’s and much, much more!
