It’s Pride Month, and as a county, Lancashire is ready to celebrate.

Pride Month takes place each June due to the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots which took place in New York, 55 years ago. The events and parades that take place to celebrate Pride are open to all LGBTQ+ community members and their allies as a celebration of love, acceptance and solidarity.

This week marks Mental Health Awareness Week with this year’s theme being community. As humans, we thrive when we have strong connections with other people and supportive communities that remind us, we are not alone.
