Witton Country Park covers 480 acres of countryside in Blackburn and is liberally peppered with pretty picnic spots, walks, nature trails, a new play area and a cafe providing an ideal day out for all the family.
Lancaster Lune Aqueduct was designed by John Rennie and carries the 20 foot wide canal over the Lune. The aqueduct was restored in 2011-2012, and can now be enjoyed on foot or by canal boat.
Yarrow Valley Country Park covers over 300 hectares and is located between Chorley and Coppull created on land previously used for bleaching, dyeing, calico printing and mining, Yarrow Valley Country Park is of local historical importance.
