Fylde
Discover Fylde for a day out where the coast and countryside sit side by side. St Annes offers award-winning beaches, a traditional pier and colourful beach huts, while nearby Lytham is home to historic Lytham Hall and a town centre with a great range of independent shops and places to eat. Head inland and you’ll find quiet villages, open farmland and the Lancaster Canal passing through Salwick, with country pubs and welcoming inns along the way.
There’s plenty to enjoy throughout the year, from a round of golf on one of Fylde’s well-known courses to a stroll through parks and gardens or time spent at Fairhaven Lake. The coastline is ideal for watersports, including paddleboarding and kite surfing, while land-based activities like tennis, cycling and mini golf offer something for all ages. Events also play a big part here, with highlights including Lytham Festival and a full programme of shows, music and theatre at Lowther Pavilion.
