St Annes

St Annes is a well-loved coastal resort known for its award-winning golden sands, Victorian pier and beautifully kept seafront. Stretching towards Starr Gate, the wide beach is backed by sand dunes and lined with colourful beach huts, offering plenty of space for everything from relaxed walks to traditional seaside days out. The town itself is home to a strong mix of independent shops, especially along the streets just off St Annes Road West. You will also find a range of places to stay, from welcoming guest houses to well-appointed hotels.

A stroll along the promenade takes in the bandstand, Promenade Gardens and the historic pier, with Ashton Gardens providing a well-maintained green space at the centre of the town. Events play a big part here too, with highlights including the popular St Annes Kite Festival, where the seafront fills with colour each September, alongside a year-round programme of local events. With views across the Ribble Estuary and plenty of familiar seaside favourites—from mini golf and beach huts to ice cream stops and donkey rides—St Annes keeps things simple and traditional by the coast.
