For Easter 2023, HAPPA (Horses and Ponies Protection Association) are pulling out all the stops to ensure that the whole family is entertained over the holidays.

Throughout the Easter break the Charity has planned activities and events at their Centre, Shores Hey Farm in Burnley, Lancashire. They are also encouraging food lovers to come and enjoy an Easter afternoon tea or fish supper in The Cafe.

Starting on 2nd April right through until the 17th young guests are invited to discover which HAPPA pony has stolen the Easter Bunny’s eggs by exploring the site and answering the clues, with gifts for all winners.

Also, on the 2nd join the team for Yappy Easter, a fun and interactive course for canine companions to explore with their humans which includes a gift for every participating dog.

Good Friday sees The Café hold their evening Fish Fryday, with fish supper or takeaway available from 3pm-6.30pm (closing at 7pm).

On Easter Monday The Café also have the Easter Afternoon Tea with a tasty range of treats available from 12-3pm £14 per person, pre-booking essential & 50% deposit required on email cafebookings@happa.org.uk or call 07736888917.

The Activity Room at Shores Hey Farm will be a popular spot to visit throughout the holidays with glitter tattoos, face painting and crafts sessions which will be held from 11am-4pm (see website for dates and activities).

Those wanting to get up close to a HAPPA pony can take part in pony grooming on 4th & 11th April at just £3 per person, for ages 4+.

On the 5th, 12, 22nd April Own a Pony Day explores the opportunity to discover what it is really like owning a pony with practical based activities and supporting the equine team in general duties of a busy yard. These courses are aimed at ages 7+ and can be booked on the HAPPA website.
