Beacon Lighting Ceremonies are one of the official jubilee events and will be lit up and down the UK on Thursday 2nd June as the UK comes together to celebrate The Queen’s historic milestone.

The lighting of beacons is a long tradition of celebrating royal jubilees, weddings, and coronations, with beacons now being used as a symbol of unity and a central point for outdoor gatherings and celebrations.

More than 1,500 beacons will be lit in total across the UK and in each of the capital cities of Commonwealth nations. All those across the UK will be lit at 09:45pm on Thursday 2nd June along with the principal beacon being lit at the Mall in Central London.
