Highest Point, Lancashire’s biggest open-air music festival has now released the first wave of tickets to the event which will be held from 12-14th May 2022.

After moving to a new date in September in 2021 due to the pandemic, next year’s festival will once again take place in May, in the stunning 54-acre grounds of Williamson Park.

At 2022’s festival, guests can expect to see a huge variety of artists across multiple stages over the course of the weekend, with a regional street food and craft beer offering on site. The lineup for the festival has not yet been announced, but is expected to be bigger and more diverse than ever, with a mix of chart-topping artists, indie legends, plus the underground house heads, D’n’B superstars and the funk groovers the festival has become so well known for.

The first wave of tickets to the festival are on sale today (Monday 20 September) from 6pm, and will cost £85 per adult for the two day ticket, which includes access to the festival on Friday 13 & Saturday 14 May 2022. Payment plans will be available, meaning anyone interested can spread the cost of their ticket over five installments of £15, with a £20 deposit.

The setting for the festival could very well be one of the most beautiful event sites in the UK, with enchanting woodland, and breathtaking views over Morecambe Bay and the Lake District fells and mountains. The park is also home to Lancaster’s most iconic building, the Ashton Memorial, which dominates the city’s skyline at around 150 feet tall.

After working tirelessly to bring the much-loved festival back to the historical northern city earlier this month, festival organisers Jamie Scahill, Richard Dyer & Holly Wignall are looking forward to the festival taking place on its original date in May next year.

Jamie Scahill, co-founder of the festival said “It was amazing to be able to host the festival again this year in Williamson Park, and it was an honour to be able to open the gates and welcome so many people who haven't had the chance to enjoy a music festival in over two years. We’re moving back to our original date in May for 2022 and it’s going to be bigger and better than ever before. We’re already working on securing a killer line-up for next year’s event, and we’re expecting another sell out.”

Co-founder Rich Dyer added “We had some incredible feedback from fans and we want to thank everyone who attended and supported the event in 2021, plus of course the team who worked tirelessly to make it happen. With restrictions now lifted we have a bigger run up to next year’s event, and as a team we already can’t wait to welcome everyone to what is certain to be the best festival yet, let’s hope we get the amazing weather again!”

In 2021 the festival welcomed 35,000 ticket-holders for four days of fun-filled musical performances from some of the music industry’s biggest names, including indie icons James, Brit & Ivor Novello award winner Rag‘n’Bone Man, musical legend Rick Astley, chart star Becky Hill, Brit and MOBO award-winning singer/songwriter Ella Eyre, British electronic music band Clean Bandit, chart topping Rudimental, plus many more.

Early bird tickets are available from 6pm on Monday 20 September 2021, via the Skiddle website
