As Half term comes to an end and Halloween creeps up on us, there’s lots of spooky events happening across Lancashire.

If you’re not prepared for Halloween yet, don’t worry we've put together a list of all the fantastic events happening across the weekend.

Head to Pumpkins In The Park Festival at Lowther Gardens where you not only pick pumpkins but you can join the guides for a Lancastrian ghost trail and even watch monstrous movies at the drive-in cinema! Each day there is something different for you to try and entry is frighteningly free. Head down in the evening to be amazed at the light-up parade of fire breathers, giant puppets and everything that glows.

Get your wellies on and visit Gawthorpe Hall for an autumnal pumpkin trail around the grounds. Can you find all of the pumpkins and spooky creatures and solve the clues to earn your certificate? Learn more here

Enjoy an evening of amazing food, drink and socialising at Rawtenstall Market's Halloween themed Foodie Friday event. Don't forget your fancy dress!

If you simply want somewhere to carve a pumpkin masterpiece, head to Brockholes, Bowland Wild Boar Park, Mrs Dowson’s or Windmill Animal farm.

Ghost Tours, Hoghton Tower

Ascend the long drive of the third most haunted house in Britain and embark on a ghost tour at Hoghton Tower. Silent torchbearers will take you on the ghost tour through the darkened halls of the tower, where you will encounter spectres from the past and learn all about the ghostly happenings from across the centuries.

Halloween Family Party, Blackpool Tower Ballroom

Blackpool tower are hosting the ultimate spooktacular weekender for the whole family. There will be spooky music, a Halloween magic show, costume competition and even a haunted house!

Put on your best costume and head down to Affinity Lancashire this weekend to take part in the Monster's Ball Trail where you will find a spook-tastic special entertainer ready to guide you through the free themed trail.

Story Sculpture Hare

Have you heard about the giant 2.6m Bowland hare sculpture that has appeared in Gisburn Forest?
