Nathan joined the team at Moor Hall in 2019 following Sous Chef roles leading Michelin-starred restaurants around the world; including Kitchen W8, Geranium, Kadeau, Oaxen Krog and Le Champignon Sauvage. Nathan oversees the day-to-day running of The Barn, working alongside Chef Patron, Mark Birchall, who has given Nathan a unique platform to learn and grow as a chef.
With ongoing mentorship from Mark, Nathan has propelled The Barn forward in terms of the standard of cooking and recognition from the local community. In keeping with Moor Hall’s ethos, Nathan’s menu at The Barn showcases the bounty of produce grown on the restaurant’s grounds or from a network of local suppliers as well as seasonally foraged ingredients. Nathan also got down to the final six at the 2021 Roux Scholarship, following a series of regional heats and beating off competition from across the country.
