Enjoy the breathtaking sunset views at the award-winning Eagle & Child pub in Ramsbottom. Their beautiful beer garden is designed as an allotment space where you can drink and dine with their on-site hens produce fresh eggs which are used to make their famous quiche!

The pub holds plenty of local history. Built in the 1820's the pub was originally a Coaching Inn. The area which now holds the unique beer garden used to be an old stable yard for horses. We are also taken on a journey to the cellar, the door shown is the original door from over 200 years ago! Upon entering you notice the bars on the windows and those rooms were actually used as 'holding cells' for prisoners. Prisoners would stay there mid-journey from Lancaster prison to Strangeways!

More recently, throughout the pandemic, the team at Eagle & Child have operated their 'ready meals on wheels', helping the vulernable people within their community - amazing! They also currently offer a takeaway service so you can still enjoy their delicious food at home, stay tuned to their socials and website for updates on when they open their doors.
