Our family run farm shop is situated in the picturesque village of Roseacre in the Lancashire countryside. Along with our welcoming atmosphere we pride ourselves on high quality local produce. This theme continues through to the tasty home cooked menu in our on site tea rooms. This facility allows our customers the chance to taste before they buy and then come and chat to us about where our produce is sourced and the story from field to fork. Our butchery counter is well stocked and our staff highly experienced. Our aging fridge and Himalayan salt bricks allow us to mature meat to perfection. Along with this we have a wide variety of delicatessen, speciality cheese and vegetable products. With preserves, sauces, biscuits, crisps, ice cream, wines, beers and gifts, at Saswick House we have the whole package. We also pride ourselves on our gin range. Along with Two Birds and Moon Gin we are a stockist of the locally favoured Black Powder Gin. With a vast range of flavours, Black Powder has become a firm favourite of our customers. As a company we are always keen to source new products and work with local producers.
As Saswick House is our family home we have had many a year to plan this enterprise and only brought it to fruition when we felt we could do it full justice. Historically, Saswick House was a traditional working farm. As farming evolved many of the buildings became redundant and eventually a once busy farm ceased working. Whist the unused pig coats have now become home to a traditional farm shop the tea rooms are housed in the old stables where the work horses once lived.
With both the farm shop and the tea rooms the renovations are sympathetic to the original features and purposes, and create a cosy environment overlooking the lovingly tended gardens. On a nice day our customers can dine al fresco and enjoy a glass of wine or cold beer on the terrace.
Nestled in the grounds behind the farm shop is a small friendly camping and caravanning site. A peaceful escape from reality. On site facilities and electricity if required.
