About King George's Hall
Experience unforgettable live entertainment at King George’s Hall, one of Lancashire’s most iconic music, comedy and entertainment venues, located in the heart of Blackburn.
For more than 100 years, King George’s Hall has been bringing audiences together for memorable nights out. Its famous stage has welcomed some of the biggest names in entertainment, from The Beatles, Queen and David Bowie to Florence + The Machine and Liam Gallagher.
Following an extensive £13.5 million refurbishment, which began in January 2025, King George’s Hall reopened in September 2026 ready for an exciting new chapter. The major investment has revitalised this much-loved Grade II listed venue, celebrating its unique heritage and character while creating an enhanced experience for audiences, artists and visitors.
Today, King George’s Hall continues to put Blackburn firmly on Lancashire’s entertainment map, with a packed programme of live music, comedy, theatre, family shows and special events throughout the year. Whether you’re seeing a favourite artist, enjoying a night of stand-up comedy or treating the family to a show, there’s always something to look forward to.
Located in Blackburn town centre, King George’s Hall is ideally placed for visitors from across Lancashire and the North West. With shops, restaurants and bars nearby, it’s easy to make your visit part of a great day or night out in Blackburn.
Discover what’s on at the newly transformed King George’s Hall and experience one of Lancashire’s great live entertainment venues for yourself.
