Leyland
Leyland is a town with strong links to Lancashire’s transport heritage, best known for more than a century of truck and bus manufacturing, with vehicles exported around the world. That story is brought to life at the British Commercial Vehicle Museum, located close to the centre and within walking distance of local shops and Leyland Market. Around the town, you’ll find a mix of independent businesses, cafés and traditional pubs.
Green space is close at hand, with Worden Park providing landscaped gardens, open parkland and regular events just a short distance from the town centre. A little further afield, Samlesbury Hall sits just off the M6, offering nearly 700 years of history alongside guided tours, a café and on-site shops.
