Countrystyle Meats Farm Shop

Having come from a farming background, Alan always had a keen interest in supporting local farmers and small businesses and hoped to open up his own butcher shop one day. When he met his partner Heather, whose son also had a keen interest in butchering they decided to open a small butchers shop in 2007 in the heart of the Ribble Valley offering locally sourced meats to the local people. The business was so popular that they soon outgrew the tiny premises and in 2011 took the plunge to move to a larger site, situated at the Lancaster Leisure Park.

The current shop, Countrystyle Meats Farmshop, also focuses on supporting local businesses and farmers wherever possible and prides itself on offering top quality, local produce at reasonable prices. The shop features a large butchery counter with a variety of freshly prepared meats as well as a sizable deli counter offering homemade pies and quiches, cooked meats, pork pies, a variety of local cheeses as well as homemade fruit pies.

There’s everything you need under one roof, including; fresh fruit & vegetables, bakery and dairy items, eggs, jams, unique cards and gifts as well as a large selection of wines, beers and spirits.

After 4 years of great business and support from the local community the family also added a restaurant and ice cream parlour where they could showcase their produce with a specifically tailored menu. The restaurant provides customers with a relaxing place away from the city centre, whether it’s a coffee and a slice of cake you’re after or a hearty lunchtime meal, Countrystyle Kitchen has it all, with the ice cream parlour offering a variety of Wallings Ice Cream as a treat at the end of the day.
