Patty's Barn

#RedefiningLancashire.  We want you to know that we’re doing our part to help our guests stay safe during your stay with us at Patty's Barn.  We have implemented an increased cleaning regime in line with Government guidance and the COVID-19 Industry-standard 'Good to Go' scheme.  We have provided cleaning stations on arrival for guests and outside of all our shared spaces, along with appropriate signage and information of what to do if symptoms of COVID-19 arise during your stay.  Shared spaces will have a limited capacity to one family at any one time and we will be cleaning frequently touched areas more frequently and guests will also be provided with cleaning equipment in their cottages to maintain this during their stay.  We are offering contactless and socially distanced check ins.  We will maintain rigorous checking by Patty's Barn Management to ensure all of the procedures outlined above and in our updated cleaning regime and COVID-19 risk assessment are being adhered to.

During lockdown we have been taking the time to update and improve our facilities on site.  An outdoor, bunting-adorned barn to enjoy BBQs, beers and dancing.  Our games room has had a complete renovation and new look and we've added a private hire events room which is perfect for workshops, retreats and private family or group functions.  Our gym is being updated and we hope for this to be finished toward the end of July.  We have added a new track and seating area in our private woodland for guests to enjoy, along with many other less obvious updates including painting, new tarmac on the road, key pad locks, recycling, and much much more.  #RedefiningLancashire

Patty's Barn is a collection of restored self-catering cottages finished to the highest standards. The perfect location for some peace and quiet, or to spend a fun weekend with a group of friends or have a family celebration.

These charming barn conversions are all self-contained stone cottages full of character and original features. The kitchens are fully equipped if you fancy cooking with some of the local delicacies; Morecambe Bay potted shrimps, or a tasty Lancashire Hot Pot. You’ll find fresh linen, towels, wi-fi, washing facilities etc, everything you need for a perfect stay.

You’ll have full private access to the cottage and all the shared areas onsite, including; a play-barn for the little ones, a small gym, and an outdoor dining area that is perfect for al fresco summer parties. There is plenty of space to get out and explore nature with a pond and woodland area just 500 yards from the cottages and acres upon acres of green fields and coastal pathways. We also proudly promote our 3-acre fishing lakes containing carp up to 34lb and for the more adventurous folk among us you can find  the Black Knights Parachute Centre onsite, which provides solo or tandem parachute jumps.

The Lake District is a short drive, as is a breathtaking stroll through the Trough of Bowland.  A stock of changing landscapes to enjoy for all.  However, you’ll struggle to beat the dramatic sunsets over Morecambe Bay which can be enjoyed right from your window.

We’re located a short 7 mile drive from the historic city of Lancaster offering great access for Lancaster University, The Lake District, Peak District and other great northern cities like Manchester and Blackpool. Lancaster truly is the “road to nowhere.”

There are many excellent restaurants, pubs and cafes to enjoy. Whether you’re a bird watcher, golfer, all round expert relaxer or walking enthusiast. We welcome you to indulge in cozy winter nights, bright frosty days or long sunshine coastal walks with a picnic and blanket. Patty’s is ideally located for your break with a wide range of activities within easy reach.

We live in a truly wonderful community with friendly people and beautiful landscapes and we hope you’ll enjoy it too.
