Our cosy, family run tearooms is situated in the picturesque village of Roseacre in the Lancashire countryside. Along with our welcoming atmosphere we pride ourselves on our tasty, homecooked menu. Teamed with our on site farm shop our whole ethos is based around locally sourced high quality produce. This is something that is reflected in our menu. Our English breakfasts include our own hand made sausage and blackpudding along with our home cured bacon. Our lunchtime menu is lovingly prepared and cooked to order with varying specials, whilst our homebaked cakes and tray bakes have developed quite a following. Our insistance on quality is carried through into our drinks menu. With Rijo coffee, Farrers speciality teas and Fentimans soft drinks our customers have lots to choose from. The majority of the products in our tea rooms are available in our farm shop allowing our customers to take a taste of Saswick House home with them.
As Saswick House is our family home we have had many a year to plan this enterprise and only brought it to fruition when we felt we could do it full justice. Historically, Saswick House was a traditional working farm. As farming evolved many of the buildings became redundant and eventually a once busy farm ceased working. Whist the unused pig coats have now become home to a traditional farm shop the tea rooms are housed in the old stables where the work horses once lived.
With both the farm shop and the tea rooms the renovations are sympathetic to the original features and purposes, and create a cosy environment overlooking the lovingly tended gardens. On a nice day our customers can dine al fresco and enjoy a glass of wine or cold beer on the terrace.
Nestled in the grounds behind the farm shop is a small friendly camping and caravanning site. A peaceful escape from reality. On site facilities and electricity if required.
