About The Hamlet at Samlesbury Hall

Tucked within the historic grounds of Samlesbury Hall lies a hidden gem, a hamlet of 25 colourful shepherd’s huts.  Each beautifully crafted hut is designed for year round stays, warm and cosy in winter, refreshingly cool in summer.

The bunk huts sleep up to four people, inside you’ll find two double beds, carved from European oak, complete with plush memory foam beds.  All linen is provided, together with fluffy towels.  There’s a private ensuite bathroom with power shower and loo, and the huts are fully central heated to keep you warm.  Not forgetting tea and coffee making facilities for that all important brew.

The whimsically decorated fancy huts are extra cosy, sleeping two people, perfect for couples.

Step outside and embrace the simple pleasures of outdoor living.  Pull up a chair by the firepit and dine alfresco.  Take a peaceful stroll through the grounds of the picturesque Hall into the early evening.

The huts are dog friendly.  Well behaved dogs are welcome for a small fee.

There’s plenty for families, from the woodland adventure trail and Mayflower playground, to crazy golf and a driving range.   Hook-a-duck in the courtyard fountain and enjoy an ice-cream from Maria’s Tea Room.  Visit the 700 year old Hall during the day.  Admission is free.  Don’t miss a delicious breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea in The Garden Room Eatery, proudly serving home cooked food.

For those seeking the ultimate escape, venture into the ancient woodland to discover the Southworth Spa.  An exclusive retreat where rustic tranquillity meets indulgent luxury.  Sit back in your own completely private wood-fired hot tub, take a refreshing plunge under the cold bucket, and feel completely and utterly relaxed in the outdoor sauna.  Surrounded by nature, this incredible glamping experience invites you to slow down and enjoy.

Open all year round.  One night stays available.
