The Cartford
About The Cartford
At the heart of Lancashire's Fylde countryside, the riverside location of The Cartford boasts spectacular views of the peaceful riverscape and the dramatic Bowland Fells beyond.
Originally a coaching inn at the historic crossing of the River Wyre, The Cartford is now a multi award-winning restaurant with rooms, with 15 individually designed and furnished luxury bedrooms.
Inside, enjoy some of the region's best food in one of the uniquely styled dining areas. The Cartford is noted for its individuality and contemporary rural-chic style. The River Lounge restaurant features panoramic views of the countryside, and on summer evenings these views can be enjoyed outside on the landscaped al-fresco dining terrace. The menu showcases the best produce from across Lancashire, including meat from nearby farms and fish landed at Fleetwood docks. Ingredients are prepared skilfully and sensitively to create favourite British dishes along with more adventurous cooking. A proprietary French influence is also noticeable.
Each of the fifteen luxury bedrooms, including the penthouse suite, is individually decorated and furnished with the same style and attention to detail as the rest of the building. Wake up to stunning views overlooking the river and enjoy an award-winning breakfast. Although tucked away in the peaceful Lancashire countryside, The Cartford is only a few miles from many local places of interest. Close by are the towns of Blackpool, Cleveleys and Garstang. The nearest train station, Poulton-le-Fylde, is a short drive away and The Cartford is easily reached from the M6 and the M55.
Please note: only children under the age of 12 are allowed in the family and twin rooms.
