Ridgeway Farm - a place to learn about food, farming and environment. A working dairy farm set in a traditional orchard. Group and school bookings are welcomed, where you can meet both the animals and the farmer.
Ridgeway Farm are delighted to open its doors to the public, in line with the government's 'Road Map to Recovery'. As per the guidance the farm have been in touch with Council and confirmed the farm grounds can be open to members of the public. To adhere to the road map Ridgeway Farm are following the We're Good To Go industry standard mark and have put best practices in place to provide a ring of confidence for both the team, as a family working farm, and to visitors.
Ridgeway Farm will be open at weekends for the time being, with several sessions a day available. Limited tickets will be released and everyone of walking age will require a ticket. Bookings will be compulsory and no more than 6 tickets per booking. Tickets are priced at the discounted rate of £3.75 as the animal housing will be out of bounds and there will be no animal petting, but not to worry, the farm orchard is springing into life and the team have been very busy over the winter months and can’t wait to show you what they have been up to.
As well as the farm's traditional orchard you will also be able to take a walk around the fields to see if you can spot a mad march hare or hear the unmistakable cry of the curlew and if you are really lucky you may even see the arrival of the long awaited swallow!
After your walk you can return to the orchard and purchase some light refreshments if you so desire, perhaps a well deserved ice cream and brew whilst soaking up all the flora and fauna at Ridgeway Farm.
