Gradient and Terrain: Mostly easy, some steep steps. Be careful near riverbanks. Underfoot: fields and river bank, often muddy.
Public Toilets and Refreshments: At Crook O’Lune (Woody`s refreshment kiosk is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9am – 3pm – CASH ONLY). Pub and Shops in Caton.
Getting to the start: Crook O’Lune is just off the A683 about 5 km East of Lancaster. There is a riverside cycle route all the way from Lancaster. Buses go to Caton from where the old railway track provides an easy link.
