Home to Chorley Youth Theatre and Chorley Empire Community Cinema, and programming a range of events which include some music events and plenty of comedy nights. Films are shown in digital HD with surround sound, and Frederick’s Lancashire ice cream is enjoyed at every event.
The theatre is owned and operated by Chorley Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society (CADOS), an amateur dramatics group founded in 1933 who bought the empty 'Empire Picture House' in 1960 and converted it into a theatre. CADOS stage at least 6 productions per year, including an annual Pantomime.
