Oakdean Cottages, Langho

Luxury accommodation located close to the village of Whalley, Ribble Valley. Centrally located for access to The Lake District, Lancashire Coast and Yorkshire Dales. Also with great connections to London and Glasgow they are perfectly placed for a family holiday or relaxing weekend away.

There are three cottages to choose from all of which are named after the local rivers that flow through the valley beyond:
Ribble - 5 Star Visit England, single storey, sleeps 4
Calder - Cosy, perfect for couples and families with small children, sleeps 4
Hodder  - Spacious open plan, perfect for slightly larger parties, sleep 6/8

All three cottages are stacked with modern comforts and set within stunning tranquil countryside from which to enjoy your stay.

They can accommodate various sized parties and welcome singles, families and small groups of friends so please do take a look around their website and see which one, two or three of thier cottages would suit your holiday best.

*Minimum stay is 3 nights, bookings for 1 or 2 nights are not taken. Throughout peak season (July and August) they may only able to accommodate guests for a minimum of 7 nights, Saturday to Saturday. Please email to check whether a shorter stay in the summer is possible, they will accommodate you if they can.

Road Directions

We are located in the small village of York served by a quaint local pub just 400 metres away. Shops and a post office can be found in Langho (another half mile away at the bottom of York Lane) and Whalley is the nearest picturesque church village, a 5min drive or 25min walk down Whalley Nab where you will find shops, a deli, bakery, local pubs and restaurants to suit every need.The Market town of Clitheroe is 5.6 miles away, a short drive. Here you will find Clitheroe Castle along with many main shops, supermarkets and a local open market. We are perfectly situated for days out but with great transport links so close by it is easy to head much further afield throughout England, Scotland and Wales. Trains run from Preston to London and from Preston to Glasgow each taking just over two hours.If you prefer to explore our lovely more local countryside The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are each less than an hour away.

Public Transport Directions

If you’re flying into the UK we are close to Manchester International Airport, with Liverpool and Blackpool Airports providing easy access to us from many European cities. Manchester International Airport (48 miles), Liverpool Airport (57 miles), Blackpool Airport (29 miles). Langho train station is 1 mile away and takes just 15mins to walk to. Trains run on the hour to Manchester City Centre (Victoria). Preston mainline rail station serves Lancaster (40mins), Glasgow (2hrs) and London Euston (2hrs 8mins).
