More than just a B&B, at Lancaster Barn you can expect garden-to-table seasonal menus, a friendly welcome, beautiful bedrooms for overnight stays, and a flourishing market garden to explore.
Located just ten minutes from the historic city of Lancaster, and sitting comfortably half-way between the main north and south route, Lancaster Barn is perfect for breaking up a longer journey, or turning a quick stop into a mini-break. Independently owned, and offering a personal experience, Lancaster Barn has all the warmth and home comforts of a B&B, but with all the luxury and flair of a hotel. All the en-suite bedrooms celebrate natural materials and clever detailing, with original artworks and bespoke oak furniture, and are fully equipped for the modern-day traveller. Comfy pillow-top mattresses, in-room mini bar, Nespresso machine, complimentary flapjacks, fresh fruit and filtered water. Plus, air-conditioning, climate control and speedy WiFi in every room.
Food at Lancaster Barn is seasonal, vibrant and fresh and, as much as possible, is just-picked from the on-site market garden. Everything else is thoughtfully sourced from local artisan Lancashire producers. A generous full Lancashire breakfast will start the day, with open views from the floor-to-ceiling windows in the breakfast room. In the evening, a seasonal supper is offered, of locally cured meats and fine Lancashire cheeses, alongside just-harvested fruit and vegetables from the garden. A selection of wines, local spirits and seasonally-inspired cocktails can be enjoyed in The Garden Room, or outdoors on the terrace.
Both Lancaster Barn and the surrounding area are true hidden gems, with long canal walks just a stones-throw away, or venture deep into the Forest of Bowland. The city sights of Lancaster are a short-drive away, and packed full of culture and heritage. Or head to the spectacular coast for a breath of fresh air.
