Three individual and private holiday cottages set within a working farm on the edge of the pretty village of Bispham Green in the heart of West Lancashire.The perfect base to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside and with easy access to the Lake District and Yorkshire dales. Cities of Manchester and Liverpool also within easy reach.
Each cottage is surperbly appointed throughout, each offer their own unique features and are furnished to the highest standard with a contemporary yet cosy country feel.
Barn Owl Cottage sleeps 4 - This cottage retains original beams and woodwork, with exposed brickwork and a beautiful mezzanine floor which houses the en-suite double bedroom. A feature window to the front offers open views across the countryside. To the ground floor there is a twin bedroom and shower room with basin and W.C, open plan living area and fully fitted kitchen with dining area. Patio area to front with garden furniture and barbeque.
Dairy Cottage sleeps 2 - This cottage holds many of its original features, giving it a rustic and quirky charm, but offers a very modern and convenient way of living.
The downstairs of the cottage consists of a traditional country styled fully fitted kitchen with original stone flagged floor, and an open plan sitting room and dining area which features a wood burning stove and offers uninterrupted views across the paddocks. The first floor is reached via the staircase from the kitchen and leads to a spacious double bedroom with an adjacent modern bathroom with W.C, bath and separate shower cubicle.
Maltkiln Cottage sleeps 2 - This cottage retains much of its character and features from its former days with its exposed beams and brickwork.
The front entrance to the cottage opens directly into the open plan kitchen, dining and living area. The fitted country style kitchen is equipped with everything you will need for your stay, and the dining table for two is prefect for enjoying your meals. The sitting area has views over the private patio and BBQ area with fire, Smart TV, with Freeview, and a DVD player which can all be enjoyed from the comfy double sofa and chair. The glass patio doors offer access to the outside paved and gravel area, with outside table and chairs, which gives fabulous views over the fields and neighboring horse paddocks.
The double bedroom, again with views over the patio area, is accessed from the living room and consists of a double bed and traditional inviting country style furniture and furnishings. The modern bathroom with its bath, wc and shower is then accessed at the far end of the cottage through the bedroom.
WIFI is available in all cottages and guests can enjoy complimentary use of their three well stocked fishing ponds.

Leave M6 @ J27 and follow signs for Parbold, turn right on to the B5246 signposted Rufford and Mawdesley, continue along this road for approximately 2 miles through the village of Hilldale, then take the left turn, (Maltkiln Lane) signposted Bispham Green and Mawdesley. Proceed until you reach the Eagle & Child pub on the right. Barn Owl Cottage @ Crook Hall Farm is a further 300 yards down the road on the left.
