About Chorley Market

Chorley's popular markets date back to 1498 with the most popular market day being a Tuesday. If you're visiting Chorley today you will find two main markets; the covered market operating four days per week, and the Tuesday market with stalls lining the streets of the town centre (traditionally held on the Flat Iron, also known as the Cattle Market, until it moved to the streets a few years ago). Together the markets offer over 100 stalls selling everything from fresh produce to clothes and accessories to gifts, food-to-go and more. Plus look out for the special food and craft markets on Fazakerley Street, which take place on the second Saturday of every month. If you fancy taking a break from shopping then don't worry, there are plenty of places you can grab some great food and drink! Located in the town centre, Chorley Markets are close to plentiful low cost parking and the bus and train stations. Chorley Markets also welcomes coach trips and group travel, with dedicated coach parking facilities and packages available. Group Travel providers should contact Chorley Council for further information.
