The company is also proud to partner with Booths, where customers can enjoy Morecambe Bay Chowder in the cafés at Garstang, Clitheroe, Lytham St Annes, and Poulton-le-Fylde (serving times at these locations are 10am-3pm).

The Morecambe Bay Chowder story began during the 2020 lockdown, when the signature recipe was developed through countless trials of stocks, seasonings, and spices. In 2021, local tastings and customer feedback helped refine and perfect the recipe.

A successful community crowdfunding campaign then raised funds for a solar-powered tricycle, giving the business the flexibility to serve chowder at a variety of locations throughout the region.

Since launching, Morecambe Bay Chowder Co has received significant recognition, including winning a Booths Accelerator Award and a Bay Business Creative Innovation Award. The company has also been a finalist in both the Taste Lancashire Producer Awards and the Red Rose Green Awards, reflecting its commitment to quality, sustainability, and local food culture.
