About Becconsall Lancashire's Living Museum and Heritage Park
A new museum and heritage park. Situated on a 20-acre Biological Heritage Site in Hesketh Bank in West Lancashire, Becconsall. A year-round attraction for everyone that tells the stories of everyday life in Lancashire through the ages.
Celebrating the industrial, social and craft heritage of historic Lancashire, Becconsall promotes learning, skills and wellbeing, by engaging with a wide range of audiences. Through collections, demonstrations, re-enactments, themed events and workshops, Becconsall generates genuine and lasting community engagement; whilst also fostering a sense of pride in the area’s rich history, from Viking settlements, to the Industrial Revolution and beyond.
Situated between Southport and Preston, just off the A59.
With a regular programme of events, heritage and family focused experiences. Woodland activities, workshops, crafting sessions for children and a primary schools programme.
The welcome centre houses a shop selling a range of drinks, snacks, and treats.
On non-event days, the park is open with entry by donation. Minimum £1.00.
