Foulridge Canal Cruises

Foulridge Canal cruises has been operating under the present ownership for 23 years on the tranquil countryside section of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal at Foulridge Canal Wharf, 2 miles from the end of the M65 motorway in Colne. Our boat Marton Emperor seats 50 people in comfort and we run all year for charters, the boat having central heating for the colder months. Car and coach parking is free of charge at the wharf. From May to the end of September a Sunday afternoon trip runs at 2.30 pm. On selected dates, a trip through Foulridge mile Tunnel runs, these dates can be found on the web site. We specialise in trips for the group travel market and run throughout the year for trips with food options lasting from one and a half to three hours in duration. We work with Boundary Mill and Oswadltwistle Mills to offer great day out packages. Private charters can be run for groups from 15 to 50 in number though we recommend for extra comfort 48 people as a maximum Coach parking is within a 100 yards and access is good. The trip is suitable for all age groups and we offer evening trips. In the quieter months a three course meal is available whilst we cruise along the canal for two and a half hours. In the past we have had trips from mother and baby groups to 90th Birthday parties with all in between even karaoke and jazz cruises and HRH Prince Charles has travelled no less than three times on business trips to the area!
