About Fleetwood Museum

Visit Fleetwood Museum for a fascinating, family-friendly journey through time.? Explore the town's heritage from its Victorian origins, world renowned fishing industry and home of the famous Fisherman's Friend lozenges, to the present day. Discover some of Fleetwood's heroes, like Sir Peter Hesketh Fleetwood, who founded the new town on Fleetwood in the 1830s, and Jane Couch, a pioneer of women's boxing. Awesome objects, including Harriet, an historic fishing vessel, and beautiful artworks of the area will surprise and inspire you.? Fleetwood Museum's Deep Sea gallery, tells the story of Fleetwood's world-famous fishing trawlers. The museum also boasts a stunning collection of over 40 intricate ship models. The collection was owned by Tony Lofthouse from the Lofthouse family, who own Fisherman's Friend and has been donated to the collection at the museum. Enjoy films, interactives and children's trails or recharge your batteries in the charming café. With Fleetwood Market just around the corner, free street parking, and stunning coastal views, make a day of it in Fleetwood.?
