24th to 26th July - SeekOut Festival, Gisburn Forest

Nestled in the stunning woodland of Gisburn Forest, SeekOut is a lovingly curated micro-festival, limited to fewer than 500 people. 25th July – Wanderland, Poulton-Le-Fylde 

Wyre's dedicated family festival is back and bigger than ever! This year you can expect everyone's favourite Peppa Pig, The Black Eagles Dance group, K Pop Superstars Tribute act and more during a huge family friendly day out at Cottam Hall Playing Fields. Grab your ticket while you still can!

25th July – Connecting Cultures Festival, Hyndburn

The 2026 Connecting Cultures event is being held at Oak Hill Park, building on the 2023 and 2024 events at Accirngton Market and Haworth Art Gallery and features a packed programme of family-friendly entertainment and activities. Visitors can enjoy cultural food and drink stalls, free face painting, free hair braiding, free henna art, craft and artisan stalls. There will also be free dragon storytelling sessions, offering a mythical experience where families can meet magical creatures and enjoy captivating stories and a free circus school workshop, featuring interactive circus fun, the chance to try out circus skills and opportunities to play with a range of circus toys. What's more, there will be live performances throughout the day, alongside a variety of cultural performances and entertainment on the main stage, including K-pop Icons, where visitors can sing and dance along to some K-pop classics. Guests can also join the free K-pop disco taking place throughout the day, along with special appearances from Durpy and much more.

25th & 26th July – Lowther's Folk and Roots Festival, Lytham

The Lancashire Tourism Awards winning Folk and Roots Festival from Lowther Pavilion is back! Enjoy a free weekend of fun and live entertainment including sets from acts such as The Woolverstones, Scolds Bridle, Frogs of Darkness and more! Check out the line up and get involved.

25th & 26th July – Alpaca Walk and Talk Experience, Brockholes Nature Reserve

Got a little one that loves animals? Why not treat them to a 60 minute Alpaca Experience through the beautiful Brockholes Nature Reserve? They will learn how these beautiful animals are looked after, all about their fleeces, and take the alpacas for a walk after.

25th July – Festival of Archaeology Community Hub Day, Clitheroe Castle

This July, join in the fun with The Festival of Archaeology at Clitheroe Castle. With plenty of great family-friendly activities to join in with it’s a great way to learn about the history of the area. On 25th July the community hub day will add to the excitement with hands on experiences, talks from archaeology experts and more. All young history lovers will be left full of wonder!

25th July – Mill Fest at Holmes Mill, Clitheroe 

Get ready for a full day of live music, family fun, great food and summer festival vibes at Holmes Mill. Pop along from 12pm as the venue comes alive with live performances throughout the day, outdoor entertainment, great food and activities for all ages.

26th July – Wartime Nostalgia at Becconsall Heritage Park, Hesketh Bank 

Becconsall invites you to its very own 1940s celebration day! Expect vintage vehicles, trucks and motorcycles, vintage tents, wartime talks and crafts to enjoy throughout the day, with live entertainment and the popular heritage trail and World War Two shelter open to explore too!

21st July to 28th August – The Great Summer Maze Quest at Affinity Lancashire, Fleetwood

Throughout the 6 week summer holidays Affinity Lancashire are bringing you "A-MAZE-ING" adventures. There will be six different types of mazes to make your way through, with the first "The Tropical Maze Quest" in place until Sunday 26th July. On Saturday 25th July little ones can join in the Aloha Adventures day, meeting Lilo and Stitch and getting a free glitter tattoo too.

21st July – 10th September – Alice Frozen in a Wonderland Of Dreams, Pleasure Beach Resort 

Brand new, to celebrate the 90th anniversary of The Hot Ice XC Show at Pleasure Beach Resort, ice show Alice Frozen in a Wonderland of Dreams is ready to transport you and the kids to a wonderland never been seen before! This new matinee show runs throughout the holidays to 10th September and is not one to be missed! Head to the Ice Arena for opening weekend this weekend.

22nd July to 29th August – Summer of craft at Queen Street Mill Museum

This summer, Queen Street Mill is ready to welcome you with a variety of craft activities to join in with every Wednesday to Saturday. This weekend you can find table top activities and themed colouring in, with beach collages, paper plate suns, palm tree collages, fish puppet weaving and more to follow as the holidays continue. What's more, these are drop in events with no need to book!

25th July to 29th August – Saturdays at The Lancashire Police Museum 

The fascinating history of Lancaster Castle as a place of imprisonment comes to life when you step trough the doors of the Lancashire Police Museum. Telling the story of the Lancashire Constabulary visitors can delve into some incredible historical cases and how they were solved. Usually only open on Thursday and Fridays, the museum is open on Saturdays for the summer holidays.
