It’s a sizzling new season at Café at Walterz as the popular entertainment hotspot launched its new Spring Menu this week with a flavour-packed evening of fun!

The vibrant dining venue at Newton Hall Holiday Park in Staining welcomed local media and foodie fans for an exclusive first taste of local chef Nathan Shaw’s latest feelgood favourites on Wednesday 22 April, as well as a quick pit stop to enjoy all the fun of the fair in Walterz Entertainment Centre.

Lucky guests were treated to a lively evening of sampling and socialising with a colourful Walterz twist, as the evening kicked off with generous tasting platters loaded with crowd-pleasing bites, followed by a range of delicious main dishes all packed full of personality that feel just right for Spring. It was a perfect introduction to a mouthwatering new menu that’s designed for sharing, grazing and enjoying together, and will soon feature fresh, seasonal produce direct from Newton Hall’s very own kitchen garden thanks to the creative vision of Partington’s new Head Gardener Conrad Bunday! Alongside all the fabulous feelgood delights that everyone already knows and loves - from juicy handmade burgers to cleverly reimagined brunch classics and tempting sweet treats, all featuring Nathan’s extra special street food vibe - you can now tuck into freshly baked flatbreads fully loaded with global-inspired toppings and crisp, colourful salads that are anything but ordinary.

Café at Walterz signature flatbreads are soft, warm and piled high with toppings including fragrant Lamb Kofta, delicately spiced Halloumi with an aromatic aioli drizzle or tasty Tandoori Chicken for the perfect hand-held feast; while the new seasonal salads are packed with crunchy greens, sprinkled with zingy homemade dressings and filled with everything from kickass Korean chicken with a sticky gochujang sauce and Japanese udon noodles, to a classic Caesar with salted crostini, freshly poached egg and piles of freshly grated parmesan.

And because this is Walterz, the menu still delivers whether you’re popping in for a relaxed breakfast, enjoying a laid-back lunch with friends or fuelling up between games in the Hub. Early birds can dive into the brand-new Brunch Menu available from 9am featuring everything from the fabulous new Fire Breathers Avo on sliced ciabatta with creamy guacamole, poached eggs and Sriracha infused Hollandaise; to a tempting traditional Ringmaster full English – a perfect wake-up call before a day of fun. Matcha fans can also now enjoy an exciting new range of health-focused drinks served piping hot or over ice.

As day turns into night, Nathan’s new Gaming Bites menu delivers right into the Hub of Walterz Entertainment Centre, serving up everything from succulent Pork Belly Bites and crispy Salt and Pepper Calamari to Loaded Fries topped with the chef’s signature Baconaise, or even a classic Carnival Hot Dog with fairground onions and hot mustard. What a perfect night out!

“Spring is all about fresh flavours and feelgood food,” says Nathan. “We wanted the new menu to feel vibrant, colourful and a little bit playful with dishes that are packed with flavour but still feel light and perfect for the season. The flatbreads and salads are real standouts for me – they’re fresh, bold and perfect for sharing.”
