Have a totally unique visitor experience in the Harris in the New Year, when a giant moon goes on display.
The Museum of the Moon is an incredible combination of technical and scientific skill that creates a personal connection with the viewer. Made using detailed NASA moon imagery and fusing moonlight and surround sound music, British installation artist Luke Jerram's 23-foot high, giant three-dimensional moon will be suspended in the centre of the Grade I listed building for all to see.
The installation combines lunar imagery, moonlight and a surround sound composition created by BAFTA and Ivor Novello award winning composer Dan Jones.
Free entry, everyone welcome.
A programme of lunar-inspired events will accompany the Museum of the Moon. Including live music, film, science activities, talks and creative workshops.
*The Museum of the Moon will be displayed in a public area. General viewing will not require tickets. However, if attendee numbers are very high, we may introduce a time-slot booking system.
There will be some ticketed events (free and paid) during the time the moon installation is on display.
A full programme of events coming soon.
