Nestled in the charming village of Whalley, The Nab Lab offers a truly immersive and hands-on spirit experience.  Owned and operated by Lisa and Kieran, this is a local business with family at its very core.  Alongside their two children, Aoifa and Finnolagh, the family pours their passion into creating a warm, friendly, and memorable experience for every visitor who walks through the door.

When you visit The Nab Lab, you aren’t just visiting a distillery; you are stepping into a passion project.  As a family-run enterprise, Lisa and Kieran take pride in the personal touches, from the hand-selected botanicals to the welcoming atmosphere of their King Street venue.  Whether they are hosting a gin school or preparing the lab for a private celebration, the family's commitment to the community and the local spirit of Lancashire shines through.

The experience:
The signature gin making experience is the jewel in The Nab Lab’s crown.  Under the expert guidance of the team, guests use individual copper pot stills to craft a bespoke 70cl bottle of gin.  You’ll select your own botanicals from an extensive library, learn about the history of gin, and enjoy a selection of local gin and tonics as your creation drips from the still.  For those looking for a shorter visit, the gin flights offer a curated tasting journey.  Discover three premium gins, each perfectly paired with tonics and garnishes, accompanied by tasting notes to help you compare and contrast the flavours of the Ribble Valley and beyond.

Private hire and events:
T​​​​​he Nab Lab isn't just a school, it's a versatile, exclusive-use venue, perfect for intimate celebrations.  Located right on King Street, the space is available for
Private parties: from birthday celebrations and baby showers to pre-drinks or a village night out.  The venue comfortably seats 16 or holds up to 26 guests for a mixed standing/seated event.
Corporate hire: get away from the office for a team-building day with a difference.  The lab offers a secluded space for meetings, with the option to finish the day with a team bonding gin-making session.
Wedding services: create a signature gin for your big day or book a session to craft bespoke mini wedding favours that will wow your guests
Facilities and catering: The Nab Lab is a fully equipped venue featuring full bar service, custom drinks packages tailored to your event, kitchen, WC, facilities for tea and coffee, and external catering.
Local catering: the team can arrange delicious, locally produced food for your group upon request.
