About LANX

LANX is a British footwear company dedicated to making proper shoes, boots and accessories for men and women, with a focus on craftsmanship, durability and distinctive design.

Founded in 2016 and launched in 2018, LANX was born from founder Marv’s six-month adventure researching shoemaking around the world.  From humble beginnings selling shoes at market stalls across the North West of England, the business has grown into a proudly Lancashire-based brand with its own footwear factory, warehouse, HQ and flagship store in Whalley, in the heart of the Ribble Valley.

Inspired by traditional English footwear but never afraid to forge its own path, LANX creates footwear built for everything from everyday wear to the biggest occasions.  Today, all LANX accessories and the majority of its footwear collections are made in England, with shoes and boots manufactured at the company’s own Whalley factory and in collaboration with specialist British makers including Bolton-based WALSH.  LANX also works with leading British suppliers and manufacturers to produce belts, bags, socks, clothing, rugby shirts and other accessories across the UK.

Quality and longevity remain at the heart of the brand.  Alongside designing and manufacturing footwear built to last, LANX operates its own in-house RE-LANX repair and trade-in service from its Lancashire factory, helping customers get more life from their footwear while feeding valuable insight back into future product development.

Lancashire is where LANX calls home, but its sense of adventure stretches well beyond the Ribble Valley.  Alongside its Whalley factory store, LANX has a second store in Manchester’s Northern Quarter and continues to travel the country attending some of the UK’s leading events.

Sport, and rugby in particular, has also become a major part of the LANX story.  The brand works with some of the biggest names in the game, with partnerships including Sale Sharks, Leicester Tigers, Gloucester Rugby, Harlequins, Bath Rugby, Wigan Warriors and the Welsh Rugby Union.  In 2025, Rugby World Cup winner and proud Lancashire lad Will Greenwood also joined LANX as its first brand ambassador.

Approachable, respectful, proud, confident and ambitious, LANX continues to invest in British manufacturing while sourcing exceptional materials and working with skilled makers both at home and around the world.

From a market stall to a Lancashire shoe factory, the mission remains much the same.  Make proper footwear, do things properly, and build products that are made to be worn.
