This atmospheric coffee emporium is spread over three floors, with nostalgia running through all its nooks and crannies, shelves laden with coffees and related ephemera, and the aroma of freshly roasted beans everywhere. The beans are roasted onsite in a Probat LN12 which is responsible for roasting more than 30 varieties of single origin coffees which you can buy to take home, along with a comprehensive array of equipment from cafetieres and aeropress to grinders.
If you do want to sip-in, find yourself an antique table in a William Morris wallpapered corner and imagine yourself in a Victorian coffee drinkers’ paradise as you order from the impressive range of Exchange coffees served as cafetiere, drip or espresso-based drinks.
You’ll also find more than 65 different loose leaf teas to sample along with homemade soup, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and cakes.
