About Heritage Open Day at Becconsall Heritage Park

Becconsall Heritage Park was once the home to Alty's Brickworks, Hesketh Bank.

This weekend will celebrate the everyday lives and histories of the people that worked at Alty's from 1878 through to demolition in 1975.

Photographs and information from the archives will be on display.

With natural regrowth, the site has now become a biological heritage site.  Volunteers will provide a tour of the 20 acre park and lake, including the original air raid shelter, built for Alty's workers during WWII.
