A Magical Meeting With Father Christmas - Hoghton Tower

Marvel at the magic of Christmas at Hoghton Tower. Feel the true wonder of Christmas in the spellbinding backdrop of our festively decorated Elizabethan manor house and meet some of Father Christmas’ cheery elves along your journey to meet the big man himself!

Meet the busy Postmaster as he prepares the nice list ahead of the big day before heading on to help the Reindeer Keeper prepare reindeer food to keep those cheeky reindeer well fed on Christmas Eve. Then settle down for a heart-warming story-time with the lovely Mrs Claus herself before heading in to meet Father Christmas in our grand Banqueting Hall.

Warm yourself by the roaring log fire as he takes the time to talk with you in small groups, and will make sure he knows what every child would like to find on Christmas Morning. Each child will have a special opportunity to visit Father Christmas’ Toy Workshop where they will receive their very own gift. Marvel at our beautifully decorated Christmas Tree and there will be an opportunity to take photos in the festive surroundings.

Please note that each child ticket includes one free adult ticket. For any extra adults please purchase the additional adult tickets.

Your ticket will only be valid for the session booked so please allow plenty of time to park and make your way up to the House (approximately 5 -10 minutes walk). Multiple families will be booked in during each time slot.

All children require a ticket regardless of age.

As you know, Father Christmas is an extremely popular man during the festive period, and as such we have allocated times slots to minimise waiting times. To help us maintain minimal queuing times, please arrive at the entrance (signposted on site) no more than 5 minutes earlier than the beginning of your booked slot. However, please do ensure that you allow enough time to park your car and walk up to the house, especially if you are visiting on our Farmers’ Market Day (Sunday 20th December 2026) when the driveway and car park are extremely busy. Please remember to dress warmly and appropriately for the weather as you may need to wait outside.
