The Friends of Lowther Pavilion present an afternoon of classical music. Not to be missed, this concert features Nathan Holroyd (Saxophone) and Jess Hughes (Harp) returning after a wonderful performance last year.
Jess and Nathan, both graduates of the Royal Northern College of Music, have been performing together for six years. Playing concerts across the North of England, they featured in Leeds International Concert Season in April 2025. They have arranged many popular French melodies from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries for their unusual combination of classical saxophone and harp. In Manchester, they’ve performed in hospitals (with Lime Art), schools, libraries, galleries and hotels. Celebrating women composers and musicians from minority backgrounds, they have also performed at EMPOWER, the annual International Women’s Day concert series.
