About Weddings at Towneley Hall

At Towneley Hall, your wedding will be as individual as you are, and at the magnificent hall you can create your perfect day, set in one of the most beautiful, historic, romantic settings in the North West.

Beautiful in all seasons, approach the majestic hall through the tree lined avenues, welcome your guests in the Great Hall, a magnificent 'grand' hall which could be straight out of a scene from Pride and Prejudice, and take your vows amongst historic paintings, chandeliers, and sculptures.

Stepped in history, the hall can be traced back to the 14th Century, when it was home to the famous Towneley family. Charles Towneley was one of the 18th Century's best known collectors of sculptures and paintings, which still take pride of place in the hall. Situated in over 400 acres of historic parkland and formal gardens, this venue is ideal for your special day. In addition to the ornate Regency Rooms and Great Hall there is a flat lawned area to the rear of the hall that can be booked for marquee events for up to 400 guests.

Parking for over 700 cars and a dedicated coach park are situated within the park.

The hall has a number of quality outside catering partners who will work with you and help you create your menu, and a dedicated wedding team will make sure your big day is one to remember.

Great Hall is licensed and available as bar/reception. All bar and wine services provided by Towneley Hall. Red Regency Room is licensed for up to 80 wedding guests for civil ceremonies or 80 for a sit down afternoon reception. Green Regency Room is licensed for up to 70 for a sit down afternoon reception.
