Peaks and Pods

The owners Joanne and John have opened up a corner of their dairy farm between the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland. Three generations of their family live and work on the farm and they have put their hearts and souls into creating a bespoke, luxury glamping experience for their outdoor-loving guests. The luxury pods - each with its own private, covered hot tub - are specially designed to be used all year round, with heating, insulation, double-glazing and indoor cooking. You will never feel the cold or experience broken tent poles and soggy sleeping bags. This is glamping at its best. Sit back and toast marshmallows over the cast-iron fire pit on your patio - fire pit packs are available to buy. At Peaks and Pods, they welcome families, couples, friends, cyclists, walkers, countryside lovers and outdoor enthusiasts who want to experience an exciting new place to stay and the five pods each sleep four comfortably. Pods are kitted out with private shower rooms, fully equipped kitchenettes with hob and microwave, pocket-sprung double beds, bedding, towels, memory-foam sofa beds, folding tables and chairs, decked areas, covered outdoor spaces, fire bowls (for fire pits and barbecues) and outdoor dining tables. Visiting cyclists will find first-class facilities for washing, repairing, and securely storing their bikes on-site. Guests can cook in the new, stunning, gas-fired Gozney pizza oven (available to hire). There's also a Little Laundry where guests can wash, dry and iron their clothes. Guests can also relax in the superb social area at The Hub, with tables, chairs, wooden swing seat, festoon lights and feature lighting, infrared heaters and large cast-iron fire pit. You can even visit 'The Chocolate Bar' hot chocolate station for a warm drink and a tasty treat. Peaks and Pods is a proud Gold Green Tourism member and works hard to be sustainable. Electricity is provided by a wind turbine and solar panels on the farm, and two tubs are powered by air source heat pumps. Guests are encouraged to recycle, and environmentally friendly cleaning products are provided in each pod. Peaks and Pods is a 'Dark Sky Friendly Business', awarded by the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which means they're committed to reduce light pollution and promote stargazing to guests. The site is on the edge of Gisburn Forest, part of which has been granted official status as a Dark Sky Discovery Site. A stargazing pack with binoculars and blankets is available to borrow for those lovely, starry nights.
