About New Waggoners

The New Waggoners is a restaurant and bar situated in the stunning Lancashire countryside on the A682 just south of Burnley on Manchester Road leading to Rawtenstall. Current owners Chris and Pam Medley have also run the Calfs Head in Worston, near Clitheroe, for many years. They, along with manager Patrick O'Reilly and the team, have been working hard to revitalise the The New Waggoners, bringing back the previous excellent reputation to a much loved local pub. The premises is now a thriving restaurant serving freshly prepared food from an extensive and keenly priced menu, sourcing seasonally from local suppliers wherever possible. In addition to serving delicious food, The New Waggoners is a free house with a quality selection of cask ales to compliment a varied drinks selection. Their cosy bar area is perfect to relax with a drink and look through their extensive menu of mouth watering dishes, including their famous Cheese and Onion pie, whilst you wait for your table to be prepared. On cold days they light their fire in their large open fireplace to create a lovely warm welcome for their guests. The New Waggoners is an unpretentious restaurant and bar, offering good old-fashioned hospitality. The friendly staff and locals guarantee a warm welcome to this 'local restaurant' every time. Booking is not required but is an option should you wish to guarantee a specific dining time.
