Blacksmithing Course

Ever wanted to learn how to fire up the forges and get a taste of life as a blacksmith? Well at Carter and Duck Blacksmiths, you can! This incredible attraction allows you to learn the act of blacksmithing in their six-hour courses, you will discover the fundamental forging principles, learn how to swing a hammer, use a pair of tongs and forge steel into a variety of handmade pieces for you to take home. This could include bottle openers, keyrings, fire pokers, wall hooks or hanging hearts.
Becconsall Country Fair

A great day out for all the family awaits at Becconsall Heritage Park. Expect tractors, vintage vehicles, stalls, treasure hunt and activities with Mighty Oak Outdoors. There will be open fire pizza and popcorn; puddle splash; nature art; den building; music with nature and storytelling yoga sessions too. Not to mention displays from Southport Beekeepers Association and birds of prey. All proceeds from the day go back into helping the Becconsall Trust turn this incredible space into Lancashire's Living History Museum.
