9th July – 10th September 

Hot Ice XC Show Opening Weekend, Pleasure Beach Resort 

The Hot Ice XC Show has been wowing the crowds at Pleasure Beach Resort since 1936, meaning this year is its 90th birthday, and this year's show will be bigger and better than ever before! Opening weekend is a great time to visit, but the show will run from Monday to Saturday throughout the summer so there are plenty of opportunities to catch it.

11th & 12th July 

Dino Fest, Lancaster 

One of the biggest events in Lancaster Diary is back! Dino Fest has gone from strength to strength since it launched, seeing the city of Lancaster transform into a Jurassic paradise to celebrate the birthplace of palaeontologist Sir Richard Owen.

Rock and Roll Weekender at Blackpool Tower  

Head to Blackpool for a fabulous weekend of Rock n Roll Music, dancing and socialising in the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom. The line-up includes 12 great bands to see over the 2 days, including, all the way from USA, The Linda Gail Lewis Band - (sister of Jerry Lee Lewis) a one off exclusive UK Appearance.

Allo Allo Comedy Night at East Lancs Railway

All the spoof and silliness of Allo Allo, along with fine dining and more madness and mayhem, what could possibly go wrong? The East Lancashire Railway offer a traditional locomotive hauled journey in a Pullman style carriage through the Irwell Valley, with a delicious three course meal, tea and coffee, and great entertainment.

Meet the talented makers behind the brands, hear the stories that inspire their work, and explore a carefully curated range of beautifully crafted products.

Northern YA Literary Festival, Preston 

Fox & Ink Books is proud to present NYALitFest 2026. The north's premier celebration of Young Adult literature will bring a vibrant array of authors, panel discussions, book signings, and creative makers under one roof.  In addition to the author panels and book signings, the festival marketplace will spotlight a curated selection of independent small businesses including book sales will be managed by local independent bookshop, Ebb & Flo bookshop.

Family Fun Day at The Muni Theatre, Colne

Join the Pendle Leisure Trust for a fantastic family fun day at The Muni Theatre in Colne this Saturday, with activities including mini Olympics, beat the goalie, cricket challenge, 100m fun runs and inflatables, plus face painting, emergency service vehicles, food, drink and more.

A Toy Story Adventure at Leaping Lizards Play Centre, Clitheroe

Something very special is landing this July at Leaping Lizards Play Centre. Join in a truly unforgettable Toy Story experience, where your child will step straight into Andy's world alongside some of their favourite characters. England Quarter Finals, Various Locations 

Want to find a spot to watch England Vs Norway this Saturday night? Look no further than some of your favourite Lancashire pubs and entertainment venues. There are dedicated football fan zones at Blackpool Winter Gardens, Chews Yard, Arc Cinema Preston, and Lancaster Town Hall, plus you can see the match at pubs across the county like Finsley Gate Wharf, Spread Eagle Sawley, Black Bull Old Langho and more. Ormskirk Gingerbread Festival 

The Ormskirk Gingerbread Festival returns, bringing a full day of family fun to the town centre. This much-loved event is packed with activity and is a great opportunity to enjoy everything Ormskirk has to offer, including Free Children’s fairground rides and activities, live music and an Artisan Market full of unique finds and tasty treats. All designed to celebrate the birthplace of the North West's oldest Gingerbread.

Pirate Day at Heskin Hall, Chorley 

Join the crew for the annual Pirate day at Heskin Hall on 12th July. With competitions for best dressed (adult & children), a Steampunk & pirate fashion show and so much more, you will have a fantastic day. Visitors can get a photo in the stocks, children can enjoy a bouncy pirate ship, tug of war , learn to fight like a pirate, face painting & other activities too.

Princess & Pirates Day at West Lancashire Light Railway

The Princess and Pirates Day offers a fun day with a pirate galleon, beautiful princesses and horrid pirates. Opened by the Hesketh Bank Rose Queen at midday, visitors can go on to enjoy train rides throughout the afternoon, with free travel for children in costume. There will also be a piratical magician, live steam pirate model railway, vintage buses, 'Fireman's Shovel' food wagon and the tearoom will be in operation.
