The Wray Scarecrow Festival and Fair is one of the area’s most beloved traditions, a 10‑day celebration where the charming village of Wray bursts into life with imaginative scarecrows, family activities, and community spirit.
Running from late April through to May Bank Holiday, the festival invites visitors to wander the village trails, enjoy themed displays, and soak up the creativity that has made this event the longest‑running scarecrow festival in the UK. The excitement builds to Fair Day, featuring the much‑loved Giant Scarecrow Parade, live entertainment, local history walks, and the traditional May Fair, a joyful finale that brings the whole community together.
Whether you're admiring the inventive entries, joining the festivities, or simply enjoying the village atmosphere, Wray offers a magical spring day out for all ages.
