This is one of the biggest, brightest nights in Blackpool's event calendar.
The big switch is pulled, and more than a million twinkling bulbs burst to life and transform the dark night skies with light.
The Illuminations will then shine every night during the autumn and winter months.
Get ready to Spice Up Your Life, as Mel B will be switching on this year’s Blackpool Illuminations. From the Spice Girls’ incredible success and her inspiring work with domestic abuse victims, Scary Spice is back to where it all began, in Blackpool, where she first took the stage at Pleasure Beach Resort as a 16-year-old dancer.
The switch-on ceremony will cap off a fantastic two-hour free concert, delivered in association with Hits Radio, featuring performances by Ella Henderson, Kimberly Wyatt, and Rockstar Weekend’s Massaoke.
