Clitheroe Castle Museum and Community Rail Lancashire are marking 200 years of the modern railway with a free, action‑packed family day—bursting with hands‑on fun, creative activities and immersive railway heritage.

🚂 Working 'Rock and Roll' model railway with Pendle Forest Model Railway Club
📚 Meet Lancashire children's author Susan Brownrigg who will read extracts from her award winning book, "Wrong Tracks."
🎯 Train Spotting Game and prizes
🎨 Colouring Competition illustrated by local artist Jenny Czerwonka. The winner will receive a Family Weekend Explorer train ticket courtesy of Northern.
✂️ Hop on the Imagination Train with community artist Gosha Gibek and decorate your own train wagon using paints, collage materials, stickers, and more based on the poem "Locomotive" by Julian Tuwim
