Wild Discovery is the zoo that interacts with you. A small friendly business situated within the beautiful grounds of Ribby Hall Village.
The aim is to bring you unique experiences through daily interactive and educational talks and animal encounters, including the Farmyard Talk, Pelican Feed & Talk, Bat Talk, Meerkat Feed and Talk, Armadillo Talk and much more. They hope to inspire people of all ages to help conserve the fascinating animal kingdom and protect the environment that you all live in.
Wild Discovery is home to a variety of animals including Otters, Armadillos, Porcupines, Pelicans, Wallabies, Meerkats, Genets, Rare Breed Pigs and Sheep, Tortoise, Marmosets and many more including bugs, reptiles and amphibians.
Seasonal activities include Lamb Feeding, Meet the Chicks, Reindeer Feeding, Pumpkin Carving and Decorate your own Christmas Tree.
Special one-hour Animal Encounters are provided, where visitors can pre book a unique experience to meet and greet some of animals up close, prepare food, feed them and provide them with some enrichment. Or for those that would like to be a zoo keeper, Zoo Keeper for the Day is available, where you get the chance to work alongside some of the Wild Discovery Keepers, meeting quite a few of the animals.
At Wild Discovery, your admission is a day pass, so you have unlimited entry for that day so you can explore all the areas within the zoo, discovering and learning about animals from around the world, whilst enjoying the facilities at Ribby Hall Village including the Children’s Play Park and the Woodland Walk.
They also offer childrens parties and educational school and group visits throughout the year.
