Stydd Gardens

Stydd Gardens is situated in the ancient Roman town of Ribchester, set in the beautiful Ribble Valley.

Visit Stydd Gardens and experience the unique atmosphere of this enchanting place. You can't just put your finger on it, or easily explain it, but you get a wonderful feeling when you visit. It's a little bit like stepping back in time, when you get a feeling of nostalgia. You will only know what they mean if you visit and feel it for yourself.

Set amidst gardens you will find a collection of creative and imaginative small retail and lifestyle businesses run by enthusiastic and passionate people. They have an array of shops ranging from a women designer outlet through to a vintage furnishing and giftware shop and a unique local designer homeware business. For you foodies out there they have a delightful restaurant housed in their exquisite green-house called The Cafe at Stydd. The Wine Shed, an innovative wine shop offering wines and spirits to quench and titillate your thirst. Always Cakes offers homemade cakes and locally sourced produce for the light lunches, it's very cosy and dog friendly.

Ken the gardener works hard to make their gardens look incredible throughout the year, whether it be from the roses in summer to the maintaining the epic water fountain they have, when it freezes it looks spectacular. You can take inspiration whilst strolling through their beautifully landscaped grounds.

Some of the retail shops  include:
The Hangar is Ribble Valleys first designer outlet, they famous on brands such DKNY, Maison Scotch, Maje, Donna Karen, CURRENT/ELLIOTT, to some newer UK brands many made in Britain such as Dense Lente, Muubaa, Beaumont Organic, THREE FLOOR, 51 North London, King of Tuckfield and Yolke London plus many more. They focus on sourcing high end, ethically sourced and quality clothing and accessories to ensure you can get your wardrobe staples and those statement outfits all under one roof, up to 70% off RRP. The stock is ever changing so pop down to see all the new arrivals. http://the-hangar.co.uk/

Maison De Lamond is run by mother and daughter team Rebecca Lamond and Christine Franklyn. Their style is best described as warm industrial living. They love to mix vintage with contemporary pieces and constantly work hard to hand pick products to create a collection of gifts and homewares that excite. From hand poured candles made at the Cornish coast to Industrial drawers & Indian wooden bowls, through to an Aladdin cave of treasures throughout the year. https://www.maisondelamond.com/

Mosney Mill at Stydd is simply idyllic, surrounded by roses and gardens you will be able to see Mosney Mill’s full range of British made textiles and fine china all designed by artist Emma Sutton. Surrounded by such beautiful gardens and wildlife Emma couldn’t resist adding a drawing table where you will find her most days immersed in her latest illustrations.  All of her original artworks can also be viewed in the shop. https://www.mosneymill.co.uk/

The Wine Shed is open to buy wine to take away and drink in. You can place orders, arrange private tastings or just enjoy a few glasses of expertly recommended wine with one of our antipasti boards.
